A lot has been said and done about caring for chameleons, we strongly recommend you to do your research about keeping chameleons and the best word of advice I can give you: 

Don’t listen to the general public on forums or Facebook pages. Look for information published by long-term chameleon breeders or keepers, ask them questions, or read books and articles published by them. Unfortunately, the internet is full of chameleon “experts” who might mislead you when it comes to making the right choices.

Bear in mind that even experienced keepers might have different ways of doing things when keeping chameleons, what works for some might not work for others, so accommodate their advice, and method to what you think will work for you.
