Safe Shipping Across Canada

We ship reptiles across Canada using Reptile Express. We pack every shipment carefully for the season and weather conditions, with appropriate insulation and heating or cooling packs when needed. Before shipping, we check the weather at both ends to make sure conditions are safe for your animal.

1. Place Your Order – Choose your animal and complete your order online. If you have any questions before ordering, just contact us.

2. We Choose a Shipping Day – We check the weather at both ends and arrange a safe day for your animal to travel.

3. We Pack Your Reptile – Your animal is securely packed in an insulated shipping box, with heating or cooling packs when conditions require them.

4. Overnight Delivery – Your shipment travels with Reptile Express. Once it’s on the way, you’ll receive tracking information so you can follow its progress.

Extreme Weather Shipping

During very hot or cold weather, we may recommend shipping your animal to a FedEx hub instead of directly to your home. This keeps the package indoors until you’re ready to pick it up and avoids unnecessary time on a delivery truck.

If weather conditions aren’t safe for shipping, we’ll hold your animal and arrange another shipping day with you. The animal’s safety always comes first.

JANUARY SHIPMENT UPDATE

Dear Friends,
As I mentioned over the weekend, we are ready for our next shipment. However, I have decided to move the date to April.

The reason: The shipment has to do a stop before coming to Canada; the place where it transfers has an embargo right now due to cold weather. So they are moving our date to mid-February. As you know, this has been a colder than usual winter for us; the temperatures for mid-February in Canada will be way below zero. So I’m not willing to take any risk. I know we are all excited and anxious, but we have to be mindful of what’s best and play it safe.

It will happen in April at the latest rain or shine, guaranteed. But, of course, as soon as the weather shows some mercy and we have temperatures above zero, we’ll move ahead, so we could be getting it in March if the temperatures are proper.

Even if we got them next week as planned, I wouldn’t be able to ship to most of you due to the low temps in your provinces.
Thank you for your support and understanding. I’m sure most of you will agree with me on my decision, and as always, it will be worth it.
